The rich get richer and the poor--well, you know. Ted Stevens should be defeated in his next bid for election for the way in which he pandered to the Oil execs in yesterday's hearing. The entire affair, like most government hearings, was disheartening to those of us who expect our government to act in our behalf and solve problems rather than pontificate platitudes and offer bad theatre in place of real reform.
