Well. That does it. Democracy is all but dead in America.
We have granted our government new and improved facist powers.

Why are more people not screaming about this abomination? Where is the media outrage? Where are the picketers? The protesters?

I feel like I'm living in a parallel universe where everyone is detached from their brains, and their bodies maniacally go about shoe shopping, sit-com watching, and giggling though their days while dead bodies pile up in their front yards.

Someone, please, explain it to me. Are we that complacent, that arrogant, that uncaring that we can allow our rights to be taken away, one by one, without so much as a whimper? Are we that ignorant that we buy into the fear tactics and spin? Are we so blind that we see only what we want to see? Are we so brainwashed that we don't see at all? Or, are we so worn down, beaten, and disheartened that we just don't care anymore?
