Fake TV News: Widespread and Undisclosed


Heads Up from True Majority:

The Center for Media and Democracy has produced an excellent report documenting 98 instances that TV stations used fake news by corporations like Pfizer, Intel, General Motors, and Capital One. Click here to read the report, and you can also subscribe to their updates on this issue.

The New York Times reported last year that at least 20 federal agencies distributed “Video News Releases” on topics such as Iraq and the Medicare prescription drug act.

The Federal Communications Commission recently announced that it would investigate fake news but has made no sign that enforcement of its own rules banning it is anywhere on the horizon.
Take Action: Stop Fake News:
