Trifles from Tierney

Tierney scratches the bottom of the subject matter barrel for his latest NY Times op ed. He ponders the question, "Why, when the baby boomers came of age, did American males suddenly lose interest in joining the Masons or the Elks or the other fraternal clubs of their fathers?"

My reaction: Who cares? If anyone does care to read Tierney's conjectures, be my guest:
