How Have Your Legislators Voted on Environmental Issues?

The League of Conservation Voters just released their 2005 National Environmental Scorecard which allows you to see how your elected officials scored on important environmental issues from renewable energy and fuel economy to Arctic Refuge drilling and global warming.

This year's Scorecard rollout will be the most extensive in the League's 35 years, with national coverage on C-SPAN, press events across the country, and neighborhood canvassses to tell others how their representatives scored on the environment.

The National Environmental Scorecard has been the definitive source for Americans to learn where their legislators truly stand on environmental issues and, importantly, serves as a tool to separate the rhetoric from the reality.

It's one thing to admit, as King George said in the State of the Union, that we are "addicted to oil" -- but it's another to do something about it -- as we learned when Georgie backpedaled on the issue the following day.

Find out if your representatives are "putting their vote where their mouth is" and doing their job to protect our environment here.
