Abramoff Rove Connection Reported

The New York Daily News reports that three former associates of Jack Abramoff, who worked with the convicted lobbyist in various roles between 2001 and 2004, say Abramoff frequently mentioned Rove when referencing his strong ties to the White House.

"The White House said Monday night that Rove remembers meeting Abramoff at a 1990s political meeting and considered the lobbyist a "casual acquaintance" since President Bush took office in 2001."

Right. For a guy who is known for his excellent memory of details and facts, Mr. Rove seems to be having quite a few lapses in his recall of people and events related to Plamegate and Abramoff.

What a surprise.
