Media Matters reports that Byron York, National Review White House corresponent, wrote that Katharine Armstrong, the owner of the Corpus Christi ranch where VICE accidentally shot a hunting partner, "said she did not coordinate with the vice presidents office before calling" a Corpus Christi, Texas, newspaper.
A spokeswoman for Cheney refuted Mrs. Armstrong's account, saying "that, in fact, Armstrong and Cheney discussed specifically how the news would be disclosed to the public." York printed the White House response as an "author's note" at the bottom of the article, without explaining the discrepancy between the two accounts.
As usual with VICE, the truthiness of the situation, never mind the truth, remain elusive.
Oops, seems Cheney made another boo boo. Check it out here.
