Cost of War: $6,300 A Second

And that doesn't include body counts -- on all sides, folks.

In his latest Times op ed, Nicholas D. Kristof points out that the vast sums of money we are spending in Iraq would be better used "rescuing the American health care system, developing alternative forms of energy and making a serious effort to reduce global poverty."

You know, as in promoting life instead of death. Who, in their right mind, would argue with that?

Nicholas' op ed, "Iraq and Your Wallet", does a superb job of putting our priorities -- and American morality (or lack thereof) -- into perspective.
