It's difficult to find the right words to accurately describe someone like Ann Coulter, the Republican's favorite slime-slinging, walking attack machine.
Apparently, even Ann can't come up with the right words. So she borrows them from others.
The New York Post reports that Coulter "cribbed liberally in her latest book, 'Godless: the Church of Liberalism,' according to a plagiarism expert." That, in addition to "verbatim lifts in Coulter's weekly column, which is syndicated to more than 100 newspapers...."
There's more. John Barrie, CEO of iParadigms, creator of the leading plagiarism-recognition system, characterized many of the 344 citations in 'Godless' as "very misleading.... They're used purely to try to give the book a higher level of credibility -- as if it's an academic work. But her sloppiness in failing to properly attribute many other passages strips it of nearly all its academic merits," he said, adding that he found similar patterns of cribbing in her Universal Press columns published over the last 12 months.
My reaction? Hey, she is a mouthpiece for Republicans in the most dishonest, divisive, corrupt U.S. government in history. Dishonesty and cheating is par for the course.
