Lincoln Chafee Opposing John Bolton UN Confirmation Officially: Bolton Confirmation Battle Officially Over

Steve Clemons (The Washington Note) for Huffington Post reports:
"... Senator Lincoln Chafee is calling a press conference to state categorically that he will not support John Bolton's confirmation in the upcoming lame duck session.

The Bolton confirmation will be officially dead in a few minutes."

For nearly 20 months, President Bush has tried, unsuccessfully, to get Bolton confirmed in a job he has held since August 2005. Bolton then received a recess appointment after not getting enough support in the Senate.
