Since 2000, about 40,000 troops from all branches of the military have deserted. Those who help war resisters say desertion is more prevalent than the military has admitted. I don't know about the rest of you, but this gives me a shot of hope. It shows that our young men and women are not all willing to blindly follow our Demander in Chief into his illegal wars -- when they know in their hearts that it is morally wrong.
