First he's "The Decider" ... now "The Decision-Maker" ... but always, always "The Idiot in Chief."
Literally everything our misguided little "Decision-Maker" decides has been a premeditated, unmitigated disaster: illegally invading a country that posed no threat to us -- with no thought of securing the peace and no exit strategy, mismanaging and then abandoning New Orleans, domestic spying, torture, rendition .... let me count the ways.
"I've picked the plan that I think is most likely to succeed," Bush said today in an Oval Office meeting with senior military advisers. Great. Problem is everything Bush has ever thought in the past has been dead wrong.
Bush even had the audacity to condemn those opposing his plan (who isn't?) for not presenting their own ideas to him. Early signs of Alzheimers perhaps? A whole slew of plans have been proposed to Mr. Bush, all of which he "decided" he didn't like -- even though the vast majority of Americans, military, generals, and experts would prefer almost any one of the alternate plans. As would Congress. Not to mention the Iraqis and the rest of the world.
"Lawmakers agree that failure in Iraq would be a disaster," Bush repeated a well worn talking point and bragged that he chose a strategy that he and his advisers thought would be successful in Iraq. O.K. Except Iraq is already a failure and his "new strategy" is the same as the old one -- which is the very one that led to the morass in which we now find ourselves. Circular argument 101.
What in God's name is wrong with Congress and the American people? How much of this bull are they willing to listen to? Isn't six years of this crap enough?! The criminals in the White House must be removed by impeachment or by forced resignation or by a vote of non-confidence or by whatever -- but they must be removed. They are acting against the principles of our government, against the will and interests of the people, and against our national security and the security of the rest of the world.
ENOUGH!!! Where are the leaders in the Democratic Party? All you presumptive Presidential candidates out there -- where are you? Speak up! Can you not stop playing politics long enough to realize this country is in grave danger, and it is YOU who must do something about it? People are dying while you calmly play politics with their lives! Is that not the height of immorality?
If not now, when? If not you, who? We're tired of waiting for you to stop blathering and step up.
