I'd call that disgraceful.
HealthDay News reports:
"The ties between doctors and drug manufacturers are close indeed, with virtually all doctors reporting some kind of relationship with industry, even if it's as seemingly innocuous as accepting free food and beverages, a new study has found...."It should be no surprise to anyone who watches television and is literally bombarded with hundreds of drug commercials touting a drug for every ailment -- real or imagined.
Meanwhile, our manipulative government pretends to wage a war on illegal drugs while doctors and drug companies push possibly far more dangerous prescription drugs, often with unknown long-term side effects and insufficient testing, for every twitch, disorder, quirk, and sniffle, hoping and praying to addict us to their newest "cure."
Made-up maladies like "restless leg syndrome" are the marketing gimmicks of the day.
Buyer, beware. Nothing these days is what it seems.
